The placing of a surface piercing is different from attaching the microdermal and the skin diver. A surface piercing requires two holes in the skin that are pierced opposite to each other and where the surface barbell, with its 90 degree corners, eventually will be placed. When you get a surface piercing you should take in to consideration the placing of the piece of surface jewelry and therefore also the stretching and mobility of the skin in this area. The surface piercing is best suited on even skin for example in the neck or on the chest. It takes time for a surface piercing to heal and there is also the risk of the surface piercing growing out of your skin.
